🛡️ About the Third Responders™
Learn about our elite team of suburban security specialists and our mission to maintain order in the East West Mountain View community.
📜 Our History
The Founding Incident (2007)
The East West Mountain View Security Team was born from necessity on a fateful Tuesday in 2007. Resident Margaret Thompson left her garage door open for a staggering 36 minutes while she “ran to the store for milk.” This brazen act of security negligence sent shockwaves through our cul-de-sac and exposed the vulnerability of our community.
That evening, five concerned citizens gathered in Bob Henderson’s garage (with the door properly closed) and formed what would become the most dedicated neighborhood security force in suburban history. They vowed that never again would our community be left defenseless against open garage doors, unlicensed lemonade stands, or suspicious sidewalk chalk.
“That garage door incident changed everything. We realized that if we didn’t step up, who would? The police? They’re too busy with real crimes. The fire department? They only care about fires. It was up to us – the Third Responders™ – to fill this critical security gap.” – Bob Henderson, Founding Member
